Adult Mosquito Control July 5th, 2010
The Town of Gretna will begin adult mosquito control in Gretna (ground based ultra-low volume spraying). Ground based spraying is necessary due
to the high volume of adult mosquitoes.

2010 Financial Plan Public Hearing
The Town of Gretna will be holding a Public Hearing to present the 2010 Financial Plan, Pursuant to Section 162(2) of the Municipal Act of Manitoba, on May 11, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Town of
Gretna at 612-7th Street in Gretna MB.
The purpose of the hearing is to allow any interested person(s) to make a presentation, ask questions or register an objection.
Copies of the Financial Plan will be available for review at the Municipal Office after May 4th, 2010.
ATV Reminder
With the summer upon us, a reminder to all citizens to have a little respect for each other and the law when concerning all terrain vehicles. No speeding, stunting and helmets must be worn. Do not park on the sidewalk
and the vehicles must have a muffler. Gretna’s law enforcement is currently served by the Altona RCMP. If you see an offender, please call them immediately at 324-5217.
Gretna is not a personal track. It is a Community where people live. Safety and consideration of others must be considered when using any
motorized vehicle within Town limits. One person can permanently ruin this freedom for everyone.
Gretna 2010 Election
There is a municipal election in October of this year. Citizens of Gretna have the opportunity to be a candidate for Town Council or Mayor. You may submit your nomination for Mayor starting May 1st and your nomination
for Town Council starting June 30th. Both nomination entries will end on September 21st.

hours.

Financial Reports Available
Pursuant to Section 194 of the Municipal Act, Public Notice is hereby given that the Audited Financial Report of the Town of Gretna for the year ending December 31, 2008, together with related financial statements,
have been deposited in the Town of Gretna and are available for inspection by any person during regular business hours.
